OUR TEAM
Mikaela Dirkes
Staff Position: Director
Major: Allied Health

Hey gal pals! My name is Mikaela and I’m a Junior Allied Health major (aka the major they are getting rid of). My goal is to attend nursing school and become a travel nurse. My mom was a nurse so I grew up hearing about the connections she has made with patients. These stories are what drew me to medicine in the first place. I’m from San Marcos which means I’m obligated to spend all my free time by the river (unfortunately I get red like a tomato). When I’m not at the river, catch me making day trips to the beach or goofing off with my sisters! I am a classically trained violinist who religiously over seasons her food. My freshman year self would not b in elieve the adventures and memories that would be waiting for her. Joining FAiM was THE BEST choice I have made in college. I can’t wait to lead an incredible staff team and incoming freshman group. Class of ‘28 is not ready for what FAiM has to offer to them!!!
Cole Eckhardt
Staff Position: Fam Executive
Major: Doctor of Pharmacy

Howdy! I’m Cole Eckhardt and I am currently a first year Doctor of Pharmacy candidate from College Station, Texas. As of right now, I’m planning to graduate with my doctorate and MBA in four years, so technically we both are in the Class of 2028! This year, I’ll be serving as the Fam Exec for FAiM, trying to find ways to make these next two semesters a fun and memorable experience during your time here at A&M. Some things that might interest you about me are that I am a retired TikTok sensation, competition fanatic, and pretend golf pro. I enjoy spending time outdoors, hanging out with friends, and bringing along my puppy wherever I go. I love Tex-Mex, so there’s a high chance you’ll see me a few times a week at Chuy’s. The aspect of FAiM that I think made a difference in my life is having a group of people in your life that you share similar goals with, but who also care for you. Freshman year is full of ups and downs, but having FAiM and the amazing people in it who have supported me every step of the way has made a huge impact on my college experience and I’m sure it will do the same for you!
Abbas Poonawala
Staff Position: Fundraising Executive
Major: Biology

Hey guys, my name is Abbas Poonawala, and I am a junior biology major from Houston, Texas. I plan on going to medical school in hopes of eventually becoming a pediatric surgeon. I enjoy sleeping, matcha, and stressing about school. Joining FAiM was undoubtedly the best and most impactful decision of my freshman year. I’ve made countless friendships and can genuinely call FAiM my family. I can’t wait to be our Fundraising Executive this year and make FAiM even better for the incoming class of 2028.
Madison Mascorro
Staff Position: Social Executive
Major: Biology

Howdy! My name is Madison Mascorro and I'm a Junior Biology major from Katy, TX. I hope to go to medical school and pursue a career in orthopedics but I’m pretty indecisive so I haven’t made a final decision on a specialty. I love all sports, listening to any genre of music, and binging reality tv. My go to drink at any restaurant is lemonade and I can devour a whole bowl of torchy's queso. A fun fact about me is that I had three knee surgeries, but I'm so excited to play intramurals this fall! FAiM is built up of wonderful people that have become my family, and I can't wait to welcome the class of 28’ as new members!
Andrick Alarcon
Staff Position: Leadership Development Executive
Major: Sports Management

Howdy class of 2028!! My name is Andrick Alarcon and I’m a junior Sports Management major from Pasadena, Texas, in hopes of becoming a physical therapist. I'm a very good listener so if you want to talk about basketball, soccer, football, or weight lifting I'm always here for you. Anything else.. Joining FAiM gave me some of my best memories, it truly gave me a home away from home and I'm so excited for y'all to have the same amazing experiences as I did.
Tyler Propp
Staff Position: Healthcare Executive
Major: Biomedical Science

Hey guys, my name is Tyler Propp and I am a junior biomedical sciences major from Houston, Texas. I plan on going to medical school after I graduate and I have no idea what I want to do after that. My favorite things to do in my free time are play sports like sand volleyball and spikeball with my friends, go to the gym, swim, and eat/sleep. FAiM has provided me with the opportunities to meet amazing new people, and really put myself into situations that helped me improve myself as a person and in the medical field. But FAiM is pretty dope. You should join and pref Healthcare.
